That Award Winning Feeling
We love to inspire and lead the industry through great design and beautiful homes with quality work and best practice. So, it was fantastic to be recognised and awarded for our efforts at the recent 2021 Master Builders Tasmania. Read on to find out about the awards and why we won!
After an incredible year of overcoming challenges, never seen before, the awards season is a great time to reflect on what we have delivered and achieved over the past 12 months and we are thrilled to have been recognised for our efforts.
From our display homes, to our residential projects to the MyChoice Design Studio renovation to our commitment to customers - our focus on quality, workmanship and continuous improvement has never been sharper.
The two awards we recently won at the Master Builders Tasmania Awards of Excellence were Display Home of the Year & Workplace Health and Safety.
Display Home Of The Year
The Belvedere on display at Youngtown was awarded Display Home of the Year, only just beating our much-loved, coastal-styled Milano on display at Howrah Gardens for the title.
The Belvedere is celebrated for its contemporary architectural design which offers the best of modern living through flowing, expansive, functional spaces.
When you walk through this home you will love the practicality of the floor plan which demonstrates the Belvedere is designed so you can get the best out of your home and lifestyle.
The beautiful classic styling, featuring a timeless colour palette and high-quality fixtures and finishes, creates a comfortable and attractive home full of spaces to relax, connect and enjoy with loved ones.
We invite you to enjoy a visit to the beautiful Belvedere, in Oakden Park Launceston. Our team would love to show you the design and different options within the extensive range of home designs and make sure you ask them for their best local recommendations for lunch…!
Workplace Health
Our team was thrilled to accept the Workplace Health and Safety Award for our Contractor Onboarding Process at the last month's MBA Excellence Awards.
Our comprehensive contractor onboarding process was created to improve the health and safety processes, methods and practices through increased efficiency, accuracy and effectiveness.
The Contractor Onboarding is a collaboration between Wilson Homes WHS Manager, Site Supervisors, and contractors, which provides opportunities for contractors to develop a more thorough understanding of the health and safety requirements and allows contractors to better manage their compliance and practices, ensuring that our high standards are met.
We are so pleased to have been recognised for this program, as feedback from contractors has been positive and it has not only improved our working relationships, our ability to closely monitor contractor compliance and efficiency, it has also enabled our Site Supervisors to increase the focus on the quality of the work completed across our projects.
Supporting National Association of Women in Construction
It’s not all about award-winning, Wilson Homes is proud to support many different organisations and groups to support industry advancements and this year we are supporting the National Association of Women In Construction.
NAWIC are a not-for-profit organisation spearheaded by industry leaders working toward the goal of an equitable construction industry in which women are involved, heard, and making a difference.
NAWIC advocates and lobbies for change, educates and empowers, and provides a forum for members to meet and exchange information, ideas, and solutions and we are so pleased members of our team are involved and we are thrilled to support the NAWIC in their important work to advance our industry.
This year at the NAWIC Tas Awards for Excellence 2021 we are proud to sponsor the Crystal Vision Award.
The Crystal Vision Award is the premier award of the night, which recognises an individual, male or female, or a company or group, who encourages and promotes the advancement of women in the industry thereby providing a significant contribution to the industry as a whole.
